My approach work is informed by my love for PEC and by my professional background. I have six years of corporate experience in financial planning and analysis, five years in supply chain management, degrees in business administration and management analytics, and a bookkeeping certification.

Pricing
My rates are customized per client and set based on the complexity of your business, the volume of transactions, and the services you select. Transparency is important to me, so below is a guideline of what to expect.
As a rough approximation, smallest businesses typically have <50 expense transactions per month, medium businesses 50 - 150, and larger businesses over 150.

Core monthly bookkeeping
Smallest businesses: $250 to $350 monthly +HST
Mid-sized businesses: $500 to $700 monthly +HST
Larger businesses: $850 and up monthly +HST
Plus catch-up fees if appliable

Full Service Monthly Bookkeeping
Smallest businesses: $400 to $500 monthly +HST
Mid-sized businesses: $800 to $1,000 monthly +HST
Larger businesses: $1,300 and up monthly +HST
Plus catch-up fees if applicable

Bookkeeping Cleanup
Standard rate: 70% of the relevant core monthly rate per month of cleanup plus a flat fee for structuring/organizing your books, if applicable

Standard rate: $100 per engagement hour +HST
Cost Accessibility
I reserve a limited number of monthly client spots and consulting spots at reduced rates for Indigenous or BIPOC owned businesses, business owners with disabilities, and lower income farmers. If that’s you, contact me below to inquire about availability.
There is no need to self-disclose your status or which category you fall into – simply indicate you’re looking for a reduced cost spot.

AI Disclaimer
AI tools are becoming increasingly prevalent in bookkeeping. AI is a very broad concept, generally used as a marketing term for various machine learning models. Some machine learning technology marketed as AI has been around for a long time and is non-generative (e.g. optical character recognition to scan receipts, or simple sql queries to organize data). Other technology, more commonly referred to as generative AI, relies on significant processing power (centralized in data centres) and on scanning very large volumes of data to “learn” from it and create new content (e.g. image generation or analytical insights based on unstructured information).
County Bookkeeping will never use generative AI to record, analyze, track, or automate client books. As a business in a rural community of artists and farmers, this is our way of resisting detrimental environmental and intellectual property impacts from a largely unregulated technology with wider links to mass surveillance and the erosion of worker rights.
